Samsung Reveals the Zoom H1 ($99)

The Zoom H1 is a X/Y stereo recorder that can capture up to ten hours of audio on a single AA battery.  It holds up to 32GB of microSDHC memory and can capture resolutions up to 24bit/96kHz.  Look for it on July 30th for it’s full debut and click through for the entire press release.

Sanken Announces CS-2

Sanken has introduced their new “short shotgun” microphone, the CS-2.  The mic has an 120mm acoustic tube in a 250mm body using Sanken’s rectangular capsule for more define directionality.  They mic also features a “high boost” switch that will compensates for the attenuation of high frequencies when the mic is used with a windscreen/windjammer.

Your Mouse Clicks Need More Distortion

Roland UK has put together a mouse based off of Boss’s popular DS-1 distortion pedal. The ‘Tone’ and ‘Dist’ knobs work as the left and right mouse button and a convenient scroll wheel has been added to the side.  There’s also an LED that lights up when the device is attached.
