I’ve been pretty busy over the last couple months. In that time SoundWorks Collection have produced multiple videos I haven’t had the chance to share. In case you missed them there a slew after the jump.

SoundWorks Collection have put together another video with the Skywalker Sound crew for their work on Pixar’s Cars 2.  They talk about the source recording of cars and how passionate director John Lasseter is towards the soundtrack for the film.

Synthtopia has stumbled upon a cool video showcasing how some of the elements from the original Tron were designed using Foley recordings and re-sampled through a Fairlight CMI.

Holman’s name might not be familiar to you but his contributions to the audio industry surely are. Tomlinson Holman was the inventor of THX (Tomlinson Holman X-Over) and developed the first 10.2 sound system.

K-Tek is gearing up to offer production sound recordists an easier and less fatiguing way to boom a scene. The E-Z Boom is set to only be available for rental contracts until a certain demand is needed.
