I’m heading out of California and into the tundra to celebrate the holidays with family and friends. I’ll be dormant for the next couple weeks but have fun and go easy on the eggnog. Oh yea, do any of you have any audio related new years resolutions? I’ve got a few goals I wouldn’t mind accomplishing myself. Shoot high for the next year everyone, I’ll see you all then!
More Music Radar goodness. The guys have posted a video with Joe Satriani going over his setup while on the road. He shows off his guitars, pedal board and his modified JVM410 Marshall head. Near the end of the video he goes through his pedal board again, playing back some licks so you can hear what his setup sounds like.

The viral music video for the recorded version of “This Too Shall Pass” off of the album “Of the Blue Colour of the Sky” was recently remixed in Dolby 5.1 Surround as part of an upcoming CES announcement from Dolby. SoundWorks Collection talks with band members Tim Nordwind and Damian Kulash about their recent collaboration with John Loose, Sr. Manager, Production of Dolby and album producer Dave Fridmann.
No, this video series is not about a self help group that has been wronged by RØDE microphones. I’m actually not quite sure why it’s called RØDE “Rage” because the videos that have been published today have all gone over rather smoothly. Through the jump I have posted interviews with, Scott Gershin, Watson Wu, Alan Howarth, Mark Mangini and Charles Maynes. Be sure to subscribe to their YouTube channel and keep up with Ric Viers’ travels.
Come on guys, you have to participate in order to get the goods. After the lack of guesses I am unwilling to give up the Kung Fu mastery from the last posting of the Monday Night Listen series. However, today comes a new post and it gives you yet another chance to redeem yourselves. This is an awesome sound and I hope you enjoy it.
