The Making of Amon Tobin’s “Foley Room”

Back in March of 2007 a little known electronic (drum and bass) musician by the name of Amon Tobin released an album called Foley Room.  Having his previous five albums derive from sampling other peoples work, this marks the first album in which Amon uses a microphone during the production of an album.  I personally have never seen these videos so I thought it was worth posting.

If you haven’t heard of Amon Tobin you might recall his work from Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.  He received a lot of praise for the great work he did on that soundtrack.  Here is one of my favorite tracks from the album:

    Oh wow I just LOVE Amon Tobin – thanks for posting these, I had no idea they existed. This record and his OST for Chaos Theory are both pure inspiration.
