Do You Hate iLoks? So Does Over Loud Audio Tools.

Over Loud (makers of Breverb) are dealing away with the iLok hardware.  Personally, I haven’t had much issues with them but that’s probably because I am an in-house designer and don’t travel to different setups often.  What is Over Loud’s solution?  Well if you connected to the internet all you have to do is enter in the serial number.  If you’re not?  Well that seems to be a bit more of a task.  Inevitably it comes down to you need a computer that has access to the net.  Whether it’s simply submitting the serial number or submitting a security text document for unlocking information.  Here are the details from Over Loud’s site:

If your computer is connected to the internet (suggested method):

Step 1) Run your application or open the plugin into the host application

Step 2) Click on Internet Authorization

Step 3) Enter your account data and the product serial number

Step 4) You are done!

If your computer is not connected to the Internet

Step 1) Run your application or open the plugin into the host

Step 2) Click on Manual Authorization

Step 3) Click on Save License Request.

Step 4) Select the location where save the file. The desktop is the default location.

Step 5) Copy the request file into a computer connected to the web (using for example a USB flash key).

Step 6) Go to Overloud website and login into your account.

Step 7) Enter your product serial number.

Step 8) Click on “New activation with License File”.

Step 9) Click on “Choose File” and select the Request file you have previously copied.

Step 10) Click on “license file” to download the license file.

Step 11) Copy the license file back on your computer.

Step 12) Click on “Read license file” and select the license file you have copied.

Step 13) You are done!
